About Me

I graduated from the University of Oxford's BFA course in June 2010 and from the University of Ulster in Belfast in July 2013.  My work uses a wide range of both found images and my own photographs and text, and revolves around my own personal experiences as a young female artist living in the North of Ireland.

Recently I have been making collages based on real-life aviation disasters, and have constructed depictions of these events using a mix of images from comics, prints of famous paintings, travel brochures, technical diagrams, and so on.  This work was shown in the MFA Show at the University of Ulster in Belfast.

I have recently returned from a two-week research trip to Israel and Palestine, funded by the Beatrix Antje van der Stel Grant, which is specifically awarded to artists, writers, and photographers working in a political or social context related to the study and exploration of the nature of conflict and identity.  My receiving it marked the first occasion in the award's history where it has been awarded to a non-South African artist.  Following on from this trip, I am currently in the process of putting together a new book, to be entitled "Palestine Live The Dream".

As of this autumn I will be undertaking a four month residency at the Digital Art Studios, located in Belfast where I live with my six cats and dog.  After completing my residency, I plan to spend the summer doing independent research before starting a PhD programme.

Soon I'll also be posting images from my final show at the University of Ulster as well, so watch out for those!
